Spring cherry blossoms

Japan's spring trademark is the cherry blossom. It's a significant thing for the people here, indicating the start of new-life and the more favourable seasons.

I tried to take some pictures of blossom lined banks from a river cruise I took a few days ago but they didn't turn out very well. Here is one random picture I took of a line of cherry blossom trees on the lawn outside Mr Abe's Prime Ministerial Residence in central Tokyo.
