Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes received in the last few days. The deadline for gifts and wishes has all but passed now unless prior arrangements were made :-)
Very low key day today with work however tonight my good buddies Teresa, Helen, Erin, Matthew and I went to the Hardrock Cafe at JR Ueno Station.
As I'm a member of the said cafe's club I got a special birthday invite, a cake as pictured and the staff sung happy birthday. They also took my picture with a trusty polaroid and made the picture into a nifty birthday badge. I paraded the badge proudly on my shirt on the train home but for some reason no one felt charitable enough to give up their seat to the birthday boy. I believe in karma commuters - you just wait!
